Bradford Networking Conference 11th Feb

The Anti-poverty Events Group is offering professionals and practitioners who work with vulnerable people in Bradford District the opportunity to hear how people can keep safe on line, and recognise fake news and scams with other related workshops.

Funded by ‘Give Bradford’ and supporting International Safer Internet Day 2020, the conferences are taking place as follows:

  • 11th February at the Dubrovnik Hotel 3 Oak Ave, Bradford BD8 7AQ

Both conferences open for registration at 9.00am for a 9.30am start and close at 12.30pm.

Registration and refreshments served from 9.00 for a 9.30am start.

The events aim to provide both information sharing and networking opportunities through four workshops.

Delegates are encouraged to bring their organisation’s banners (please email wendy@cnet.org.uk ) and any promotional or information leaflets that will be made available for all participants to pick up.

Previous events have ‘sold out’ within days of being advertised with excellent feedback from participants.

The conference will have two key note speakers:

• ‘Rise of Fake News’ – Danielle King – Bradford Prevent Officer

• ‘Safe Guarding Children Online’ Speaker to be confirmed

The Anti-Poverty Events Group supports the aims of the Bradford Anti-Poverty Coordination Group and is made up of community organisations including Bradford District Credit Union, CNET, People CAN, Bradford Council, Barnardo’s and Carers Resource.
