Touching tribute for stillborn baby found at Bradford recycling site

A STILLBORN baby found at a Bradford recycling centre is set to be buried with a teddy bear wearing staff member’s uniform in a touching tribute.

The baby girl was found at the Household Waste Recycling Centre on Bowling Back Lane on August 20.

She was wrapped in a pink towel, which depicted the island of Fuerteventura in yellow on a purple background. There were various pictures associated with tropical locations on the towel also including fish, sea horses and a palm tree.

The baby’s mother has yet to be found and a fresh appeal for information on her whereabouts was made last month.

The memory teddy bear has been made by 3tothread, a firm which makes memorial items after the girlfriend of one of the recycling centre’s staff got in touch with them for the touching tribute.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

The 3tothread Facebook post by owner Tarah Finlay, from Bramley, says: “The men that where on shift when the baby was found are obviously devastated, and are heart broken. So I hope this bear has given them some comfort too.

“This memory bear will be with the baby when they are laid to rest. Baby will have something to cuddle, so they aren’t alone.

“Thank you, so much for letting me do this. I’m so glad I could bring some comfort to the men and for the baby.”
