Woman seriously injured after being hit by an HGV while crossing a zebra crossing in Keighley

A woman has been seriously injured after she was hit by an HGV while crossing at a zebra crossing on Aireworth Street on Friday (8 October).

The incident happened at about 1:44pm when the DAF HGV, which had been stationary at the crossing to let other pedestrians pass, collided with the woman on the nearside of the vehicle.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries described as serious but not believed to be life-threatening.


Anyone who saw the collision, the lorry before the incident, or who has dashcam footage of what took place is asked to contact PC 137 Good at the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101 referencing police log 0893 of October 8.
